Case study
Purbank was built as a final school project with three friends. It is designed as a complete bank ecosystem which covers personal and shared accounts, transfers and payments between accounts, transaction histories, wealth views, device-based authorisation, onboarding, and account management. On the operational side, it also includes administrative tools, plus audit logging to keep every action traceable. The entire system was created with security in mind and requires the user to setup a custom 2FA app which requires the use to scan a generated QR code with the app for every login and transaction.
What I did
I owned the web and mobile client work: designing and building the Angular banking interface, then creating the React Native and Expo companion used for setup and approvals. I created Purbank’s brand identity, including the logo and visual language.I chose a restrained palette of #1D1D1D #EFEFEF #A5B3BA #5A7684 to give the product the calm, established character of a traditional bank without making it feel dated. The styles use sharp 90° corners, quiet borders, and deliberate contrast instead of soft, app-like decoration, creating a system that feels elegant, rich, and dependable across web and mobile.
Security with interfaces
Altough this is just a schoool project, in the real world money would be on the line. That's why every task lives in its own clearly bounded area. Accounts, payments, approvals, and supporting information are separated, this avoids confusion and thus undesired actions by the user. We made the flows intentionally direct, with clear labels and helpful tooltips, plus an approval step on the phone that shows exactly what will happen before anything gets finalized.
